The skiing around high point can often be very good, and over the years, has become increasingly popular.

Well, we got it together again! The advance party had established camp and we all met for our infamous Red Lobster AGM. The cigars were smoked, the rusty nails were passed around and the tent was decorated with working Christmas lights and sound effects! It was a great time, and a new member was officially recognized and welcomed in to the fold. He finally got the hear the secret Lobster chant! What a lucky guy! It must be noted that it was Dale's first time on backcountry skis, never mind it was his first time with a pack. Well done. Welcome to Lobsterdom!
Trip Reports
January 24 - Keith Rajala and Ken Williams went up to high point at Diamond Head. We even had to wear sunglasses! A great change after all our dismal weather in the Fraser Valley.
February 7 - Keith Rajala, Chris Cooper, and Ken Williams try to go up Diamond Head. The road at the entrance to the park was impassable due to heavy wet snow. Bulletin board "shelter" at the parking lot almost level with the snow pack. About 5ft. of snow in the last two weeks.

Dale MacQuarrie, Ken Williams, Chris Cooper, Greg Stader, and I made a trip into the Chilkoten on Spring Break. We flew from Bluff Lake into an area just north of Niut Mountain. The protected northern slopes were great with beautiful powder snow. :-)

Excepting for the hasty premature departure amid worsening weather, it was an enjoyable trip. :-)
